Wellness Programming

Elderhood delivers physical and cognitive strength programming through small group experiences, led by an experienced and certified facilitator. This personalized approach also allows us to specialize programming for members who may have moderate physical or cognitive challenges.

Designed by physical therapists and fitness experts, movement classes include a range of techniques that support balance, strength, mobility, and stability for every age.

Trained by experts from the North America Cognitive Stimulation Therapy (CST) at Saint Louis University Geriatric Education Center, Elderhood integrates CST to maintain memory, attention, and reasoning skills through a series of social activities and discussions.  CST is an evidence-based, non-pharmaceutical approach for older adults, with mild to moderate cognitive impairment. It has been adopted throughout the UK’s National Health system, but is not yet widely available in the United States.  Extensive international research has detailed its efficacy in improving general cognitive functioning, language comprehension and production and quality of life.
